Sandals or Flip Flops?
Song: Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald – Gordon Lightfoot
Quote: Some cartoons spring forth from just staring stupidly at a blank sheet of paper and thinking about aardvarks or toaster ovens or cemeteries or just about anything… - Gary Larson, The Far Side Comic
Ok, I don’t get bags or shoes. I’ve never really been a ‘girly’ girl. More of a tomboy really. Don’t get me wrong, I buy pretty underwear, nice clothes and I like being a girl (except at certain times of the month) but I just don’t get bags and shoes. To me shoes are a necessity. I can’t see spending too much money on them. Hawke loves them. She was showing me pictures of shoes and she literally had to explain the difference between sandals and flip flops to me. I could not see a difference. Of course we were looking at $300 sandals. And bags… I don’t carry a purse. If it won’t fit in my pockets I don’t need it. I can not tell you how many times I have been at a club, seeing a band and ended up getting hit by some girl’s tiny little purse that she insisted on keeping with her. Tiny little hand bags strapped over the shoulder. And considering that I’m a little short (ok, a lot short, only 5 ft here) that puts there purse at a dangerous height for me.
I own about four pairs of shoes. One pair for work, one pair of sneakers, one pair of sandals, and my Harley Davidson boots. As for bags, I use one of my dad’s old army backpacks for school… otherwise my wallet and money go in my pocket. Keys are on a hook that go on a belt loop… what else could you need?
