Wild Times

Show: Mutual of Omaha
Song: Numb – Linkin Park
Quote: To shoot 6 rolls (of pictures) I have to have 6 cameras. Each one of them has to have a different lens. And each camera has to have 2 or 3 strobes attached to it. So that’s like, a mountain of stuff to go off and take a picture of a shrimp. – David Doubela, National Geographic photographer.

I’m nerding the weekend away. I’m sitting here watching Mutual of Omaha on Discovery Channel. First it was Big Cat Diaries. I’m such a nerd, I love this stuff way too much. Give me a National Geographic special over a sit-com any day. I like the ones about animals the best. and yes I am quite proud of the fact that I know that the capybara is the largest rodent in the world. I can also tell you how to tell the difference between a leopard and a jaguar.
Today at work we had a smallish party for a friend who was leaving the department and we bought her a cake. One of the guys grabbed some icing and started chasing this girl around and she ducked behind me. So he decided to go for the unsuspecting target… me. And boy did I get a face full of icing. All over my cheek and eye…and all over my hat too. Damn kids... won’t they ever grow up. – I hope not. LOL
Ah, what a beautiful day it was today. Came home from work and took a nap. LOL I’m sorry, but I love to sleep and falling asleep with the sun shining and birds singing is a joy for me. Of course now it should be interesting as to see if I can fall asleep later.
Ok… just a thought. Did you ever wonder where the expression “holy shit” came from? Really? I mean, at some point in time was there actually some “holy shit”?
By the way… check out the pic at the top. Isn’t it nifty?
