My goodness how time does fly. So here is a recap of the past two weeks.

On the third day of the trial I got so ill that I spend the third quarter of the day hoping I didn't throw up on the carpet. I spoke to the woman who takes care of the jury and she spoke to the Judge who decided that I should be sent home and retired from the jury. I was upset at missing the end of the trial but yet was quite happy that I was at home when I fianlly threw up. I spent that night and the next morning really sick and by the end of Thursay I was fine. Thank goodness it was over quickly.

Three days later (Sunday) the boy and I went to New York City and spent the day walking around looking at the stores. We saw Time Square and the Statue of Liberty. We also saw the tree. It was awesome. So many lights, at night it was so pretty.

Let's see, then came the chaos that was Christmas. I spent one day shopping, thank goodness I got most of my gift shopping dome in Florida. Then I spent the rest of my time at Wegmans making shrimp trays. I work two overnights and went home Christmas Eve morning very tired. I got four hours sleep then got up and decorated the tree with the family and had dinner. I then met the boy at a dinner after he had gotten out of church with his family. We all then headed over to his Uncle's house and hung out for a while. Christmas day was spent hopping from house to house, seeing friends and family.

The boy gave me some great gifts. He got me movie posters of all my favorite movies and a beautiful Amy Brown ornament. It was a great day.

This blog will now come to order.

I have been selected to be a juror in a civil case. And nerd that I am, I'm pretty excited about it. I've never even been called for jury duty, so this is a new experience for me. The case will probably go until Thursday if not longer. But I'm not supposed to talk about the details until after the trial. So until then.

Back in the Swing

Yes, I am home safely. It was a long and sort of torturous ride home in the truck. We Left Friday morning and hit Daytona beach around noon. We walked along the beach and then hit yet another Harley dealer where I finally found my shoes. I've been looking for these shoes for months. After that stop we just kept driving. We stopped around 9:30 pm and spent the night at South of the Border, a tourist trap somewhere along I-95. We woke up early and were back in the car by 7. You have no idea how hard it was getting back into the truck knowing I still had between 8 and 10 hours more to go.

But we made it and I'm happy to be home, but not happy to be back at work.

As soon as I get the motivation I will post some pictures from my vacation. Some, not all. I think I took almost 200 pics.

To those persons that I did not immediately call when I got home, I am sorry. I was just so happy to be home I kinda forgot about everyone else.

Vacation Days 9, 10 and 11

Well, we didn't go to Key West. Instead we went to Clearwater and walked along the beach there. I finally went into the water, it was cold, but I was wearing my swimming suit this time and was determined to go in. After we left the beach we drove around and found another Harley dealer. When we had gone the other day I had fallen in love with a shirt that the store around here had. Unfortunately they didn't have it in my size. But the store that we went to near Clearwater did, so I of course got it. We stopped for dinner and went home.

The next day was our last day at Disney. We started at Animal Kingdom and finished up everything that we didn't do. We went through Dino land which was really cool and saw a few other things we hadn't. Then we hopped parks and went back to MGM. The boy didn't get to do his stunt show when we went with his parents so we made sure he saw it. We rode the Tower of Terror again, the Rockin' Rollercoaster and Muppit's 3D again too. We walked around for a while and then went to Fantasmic again. All in all it was a great four days at Disney World. After we left Disney we went over to meet his parents who were at City Walk Universal Studios. The night life part of Universal. The boy and I saw Harry Potter 4, which I loved, regardless of the butchering of the book and his parents saw walk the line. Then we walked along and went into a few of the bars there. They were all dead, it was a Tuesday night.

Yesterday we went for a swamp boat ride. It was so cool. I finally got to see my Alligators in the wild and I got some good pictures of them too.

Today the boy and I are going to wander around Orlando. There were some shops we had seen that we wanted to go to, so we'll see what happens.

I will probably be leaving for home sometime tomorrow. We are going to make our way slowly back up the coast, so it might take us until Sunday to get home, but I'm hoping for sometime Saturday.
